FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know before switching.

Where is the data hosted?
All data and AI workloads are isolated in AWS facilities (US or EU, based on your preference). Encryption is enforced at rest via AWS KMS (AES-256) and in transit via TLS 1.3.
Do you support on-premise deployments?
Currently, GainTrace is available as a single-tenant or multi-tenant SaaS offering. A fully self-hosted VPC deployment is available exclusively on Custom Enterprise plans.
How does GainTrace handle source schema changes?
Our pipelines use a flexible schema-on-read architecture. If you add fields to your source (e.g., Salesforce Opportunity fields or Snowflake columns), they appear in our visual mapper automatically. If a source field is renamed, we alert your RevOps team immediately via Slack.
What is the end-to-end data latency?
For event-based sources (Mixpanel, Segment, Webhooks), dashboard ingestion is near real-time (<60 seconds). For database or CRM polling sources, sync intervals are configurable down to 5 minutes to balance data freshness with API quota conservation.
Does the database connector require write access?
No. GainTrace only requires read-only access to your source tables. For warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery, we suggest creating a specific service user with a dedicated warehouse to ensure zero impact on your production performance.
